Agreement to Terms

The American Contract is operated by Transformation Housing Universal God LLC. By accessing or using the American Contract platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.

The Contract

The American Contract is a civic membership platform. Your subscription constitutes a personal affirmation of the principles set forth in the founding documents of the United States. It is not a legal contract in the commercial sense; it is a covenant — a voluntary commitment to the ideals of American self-governance.

Membership Tiers

We offer four membership tiers: The Promise (free), The Commitment ($12/month), The Frontier ($50/month), and The Covenant ($1,776/year). Each tier grants access to specific content and features as described on the Membership page. Tier benefits may change with 30 days written notice.

User Conduct

You agree to use the platform in accordance with the Speech Rules set forth in this document. You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm others, to distribute false information with intent to deceive, or to undermine the civic mission of the American Contract.

Intellectual Property

All content on the American Contract platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Transformation Housing Universal God LLC or its content partners and is protected by applicable copyright laws. Founding documents are in the public domain; annotations and editorial content are proprietary.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease.

Eligibility and Age

You must be at least 18 years old to sign the Contract and hold an individual account, and by signing you confirm that you meet this requirement. A student aged 13 to 17 takes part only through a licensed institution’s classroom, in an account treated as a minor’s account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Youth Policy (/legal/youth) sets out how students take part, what never happens to a minor, and what we do if we learn a minor holds an account.

Private Messages

Members can send each other private messages, one to one and text only. You may not use messages to harass or threaten anyone, or to impersonate anyone. You may not ask for or send payment in a message: no payment requests and no payment links — Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, cryptocurrency, “send me $” or the like. Any member may block or report another member. Breaking these rules can end your messaging access or your account.

Payouts

Members on the Frontier tier or above who are 18 or older may connect a payout account through Stripe Connect (an Express account in the United States). Two member-to-member payments exist: a Stake, once, for one piece of work, from $1 to $1,000; and standing support, $5 a month. On both, the receiving member gets 80% and the platform keeps 20%. On a sponsorship placement the host gets 70% and the platform keeps 30%. Every payment is a Stripe destination charge: the money goes to the receiving member’s Stripe account at the moment of the charge, and the platform’s share is taken as a Stripe application fee. CrossHUG does not hold member funds, keep a balance for anyone, or decide when money is released; when it reaches a member’s bank is set by Stripe. Payouts run only while the platform has them switched on, and money given or received never changes anyone’s Standing.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. [Pending attorney review: the choice of California law, and whether to name a venue for disputes, are to be confirmed by counsel before these Terms are final.]
